DAVE GROHL can’t listen to NIRVANA.  He says, quote, “When Kurt [Cobain] died, every time the radio came on, it broke my heart.  I don’t put Nirvana records on.”

As of 5/30, DEF LEPPARD have still not issued a statement on the family emergency that resulted in PHIL COLLEN leaving the band’s tour with JOURNEY. The tour continues, with TRIXTER’S STEVE BROWN sitting in for COLLEN. (No stranger to to the band, BROWN filled in for VIVIAN CAMPBELL when he was on sabbatical for health reasons.)

JOHN MAYALL, bluesman extraordinaire, has postponed his US tour as he recovers from pneumonia. MAYALL is 84.

JOHNNY DEPP got bras thrown at him during a HOLLYWOOD VAMPIRES gig in Russia.

UFO may be done. PHIL MOGG, the band’s frontman and the only original member left, says that after 2019’s 50th anniversary tour, he’s gonna hang it up.

This is entertaining – a 14 year old fan of the band WEEZER started a Twitter account @weezerafrica to petition the group to do a cover of TOTO’S “Africa”. The band released their version of “Roseanna” last week, and have now made a fan’s dreams come true with the release of “Africa”.
