ALEX LIFESON from the now-defunct RUSH says he doesn’t want to be in a band or tour again. 

METALLICA will perform with the San Francisco Symphony this summer, to mark the 20th anniversary of“S&M . . . the live album they did together back in the day.  It’s happening at San Francisco’s new Chase Center arena, the future home of the Golden State Warriors. 

Woodstock is celebrating its 50th anniversary with a new event in Watkins Glen, New York over the weekend of August 16th, and the lineup was just announced. The headliners include: Jay-ZDead & CompanyThe KillersImagine DragonsChance the RapperMiley CyrusHalseyThe Black Keys, and Santana, along with The RaconteursThe Lumineers, and Greta Van Fleet.. Dead & Company and Santana were part of the original 1969 festival, and some other returning legacy acts include:  John FogertyJohn SebastianCountry Joe McDonaldCanned Heat, and Hot Tuna.  Robert Plant is on the bill, performing with The Sensational Space Shifters. Dead & Company and Santana were part of the original 1969 festival, and some other returning legacy acts include: John FogertyJohn SebastianCountry Joe McDonaldCanned Heat, and Hot Tuna.

In a recent interview, JOHNNY VAN ZANT said that LYNYRD SKYNYRD basically have a new album wrapped up, as well as a planned CD/DVD release of their final show in Jacksonville, FL.

TED NUGENT will be on the road for a handful of dates this summer. The Music Made Me Do It Again! tour runs from July to August, but there are no dates in our area at the moment.
