Andrew “Dice” Clay says HE got GNR back together, after having separate conversations with SlashAxl Rose, and Duff McKagan.  He says he told Axl, quote, “You’re playing for 3,000 people.  I could do that.  You need to put this back together.” 

Coming June 25, the audiobook version of MOTLEY CRUE “The Dirt: Confessions of the Worlds Most Notorious Rock Band”. Sadly, the band members are not the ones reading the book.
