JOAN JETT is ready for some football. She’ll be joining CARRIE UNDERWOOD for the opening to NBC’s Sunday Night Football telecasts, kicking out “Waiting All Day for Sunday Night.”. A teaser will premiere before the Pittsburgh/Tennessee game on August 25th, with the full version making a debut on September 7. 

Coming September 13, a 25th anniversary celebration of the STONE TEMPLE PILOTS‘ album, Purple. The “Purple: Super Deluxe Edition” will be available in multiple formats with plenty of extras, like the live version of “Interstate Love Song” heard below.

NASA’s ‘InSight‘ lander knocked over a large boulder on Mars and sent it rolling away.  So NASA decided to name it Rolling Stones Rock after the ROLLING STONES. 

LEMMY from MOTORHEAD wrote a COUNTRY song. He recorded it with LYNDA KAY in 2009, and she finally released it this week. 

Time Life is releasing an 11-DVD set of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremonies between 2010 and 2017. It runs more than 30 hours and includes 160 live performances. The package will be available on September 10 for $100.

October 2 and 6 will see ROGER WATERS on movie screens around the world with special screenings of his Us + Them flick. Check out a clip.
