An EDDIE MONEY tribute show is happening on February 20 in Beverly Hills. Performers include SAMMY HAGAR, GEORGE THORGOOD, RICK SPRINGFIELD and more, with proceeds benefiting MusiCares and the USC Eddie Money Cancer Research Fund.  

The CHARLIE DANIELS BAND and THE MARSHALL TUCKER BAND are touring together this year. They’re calling it the Fire on the Mountain Tour and they’ll start with shows in April and May . . take a couple of months off and pick it up again in August. Closest date to us is May 23 in Cherokee at Harrah’s Cherokee Casino Resort. 

Set to arrive sometime this spring, the 18th studio album from JOE SATRIANI, titled Shapeshifting,

QUEEN and ALICE COOPER are among the artists who will perform at “Fire Fight Australia” at the ANZ Stadium in Sydney on February 16. Proceeds benefit fire relief efforts, and the show is already sold out. 

February 28 is the release date for the ALLMAN BROTHERS BAND Trouble No More: 50th Anniversary Collection. The box set encompasses the multiple line-ups of the band over their decades of activity, and includes some previously unreleased material.

Word has it that AEROSMITH is performing a career-spanning medley at the Grammys later this month . . . and RUN-DMC will join them for “Walk This Way”. 

PEARL JAM has been teasing fans on their social media platforms, and with large billboards in various cities around the world. Now, it’s been announced that their first new album since 2013, Gigaton, will be released on March 27. The band will also do a short North American tour.

Someone has started a petition to get the original MTV VJs inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. For you post-Gen-Xers, we’re talking about Mark GoodmanAlan HunterNina BlackwoodMartha Quinn, and J. J. Jackson. 

GRAND FUNK RAILROAD will be on tour in 2020. They’re calling it the “Some Kind of Wonderful” tour. There are currently no dates listed in our area.
