BOB SEGER‘s early band, THE LAST HEARD, is getting a re-release. Heavy Music: The Complete Cameo Recordings 1966-1967 will be out on September 7.

JOE WALSH is prepping for his second annual VetsAid.  It’s a benefit for service veterans that will go down on Veterans Day, November 11 in Tacoma, Washington. WALSH has many special guests lined up, including DON HENLEY.

Back in the ’80s, DAVID LEE ROTH wrote a SCREENPLAY called “Crazy from the Heat” . . . which was also the title of his first solo EP.  It was about a rock star named . . . David Lee Roth.  It recently surface online and you can check it out here.

ROGER DALTREY will release his memoir on October 23. It’s called Thanks a Lot, Mr. Kibblewight: A Memoir, which is a nod to a music teacher who told a young DALTREY that he would never make it.

The CEO of Spotify says METALLICA uses their data to change their set list from city to city, depending on which songs are more popular in different areas.  Which is maybe just a little ironic.

AXL ROSE says “you never know” when it comes to new music from the reunited GUNS N’ ROSES.

The band WEEZER was prodded into covering TOTO’s “Africa” by a Twitter campaign, and now it appears that TOTO is returning the favor. The band has been working on a cover of WEEZER’s “Hash Pipe”, and it should be out in the next few weeks.

ALICE COOPER is being honored by the Arizona Lottery with a new series of scratch-off tickets that will be available through Halloween.

For some reason, the Internet is trying to get NIRVANA to reform with NICKELBACK singer CHAD KROEGER on vocals. DAVE GROHL and CHAD KROEGER both have a great sense of humor, so………
