DAVE GROHL, KRIST NOVOSELIC, and PAT SMEAR had a six-song NIRVANA reunion at a festival in California Saturday night. Vocals were handled by JOAN JETT and JOHN MCCAULEY from the band DEER TICK.

Want to vacation with JON BON JOVI? He has teamed up with Norwegian Cruise lines to do two “Runaway to Paradise” cruises. One sails from Miami to the Bahamas in April 2019, and the other is a Mediterranean cruise that will happen in August.

TED NUGENT will release “The Music Made Me Do It” as a CD/DVD package on November 9. The DVD will be a show filmed at  Freedom Hill Amphitheatre in Sterling Heights, Michigan, just outside of Detroit.

Coming November 16, a 40th anniversary celebration of RUSH’s “Hemispheres”. The Super Deluxe reissue includes a ton of bonus material including live tracks, new artwork and a 40 page book.

Also on November 16, a new TOM PETTY two-CD set will be released. “The Best of Everything” will include tunes from MUDCRUTCH, solo material and songs from TOM PETTY AND THE HEARTBREAKERS.

TRE COOL, drummer for GREEN DAY, has a very interesting side project – an “Icelandic death metal” band called DEAD MERMAIDS. A new EP from the band, “You’re Welcome”, is available now.

The CHRIS CORNELL statue was recently unveiled in Seattle, and the members of SOUNDGARDEN were on hand. The band members say they’re still healing, but would like to work together in the future.

In a recent interview, STEVE PERRY says that he left JOURNEY because he “fell out of love with their music”.

LINDSEY BUCKINGHAM says that FLEETWOOD MAC fired him over the phone, after STEVIE NICKS said she’d never share a stage with him again. He says she had some gripes with him, but he didn’t realize it was anything major. BUCKINGHAM has now filed a lawsuit against his former bandmates for the firing.

JOE PERRY is doing a handful of solo dates with AEROSMITH bandmate BRAD WHITFORD and EXTREME singer GARY CHERONE. PERRY will make a stop at Harrah’s Cherokee Casino in NC on December 7.

OZZY OSBOURNE has canceled the rest of his North American tour because of that infection in his hand.

JOE WALSH doesn’t approve of the way the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame picks its nominees. He also doesn’t think everyone who’s in there deserves to be . . . but he won’t name names.
