Back in July, when the Kansas City Chiefs signed PATRICK MAHOMES to that crazy $477 million contract . . . you might have heard about how a liquor store clerk “broke” the news.Her name is Katie Camlin, and she’d Tweeted, quote, “A front office employee for the Chiefs came in and bought six bottles of Dom Perignon. Said there’s a big signing today . . . My guess is a Mahomes deal.” And she was right. So were the Chiefs upset that she blabbed the news out to the whole Internet? Apparently not. Because Chiefs GM Brett Veach sent HER a bottle of Dom Perignon, which was autographed by Mahomes and defensive end Chris Jones. It came with a note that said, quote, “Katie: We had one bottle left and figured you would appreciate it the most. Go Chiefs!” Katie said, quote, “The Chiefs and Brett Veach are way too generous . . . I cried. I will treasure this absolutely forever.” And finally……….
