NIKKI SIXX has another book on the way. “The First 21: How I Became Nikki Sixx” will be out on October 19. 

ALEX LIFESON of RUSH recently released a promotional video that celebrates his 50-year relationship with Gibson Guitars. In the video you can hear teasers of new instrumental tunes from Lifeson.

The artist of a painting purchased for less than $5 at a Canadian thrift shop turned out to be none other than . . . DAVID BOWIE.  The painting was done in 1997 and is now listed at an auction where it’s expected to sell for up to $12,000.

ROB HALFORD of JUDAS PRIEST has been honored by the Commonwealth of Kentucky. He was awarded the title of Kentucky Colonel, which is given to individuals in recognition of noteworthy accomplishments or outstanding service. Meanwhile, KK’S PRIEST, the new band of former JUDAS PRIEST axeman KK DOWNING, has released the title track from their fdebut album, Sermons of the Sinner.
