The best fishing of the year is now. Take a day off work. Call in sick and go fishing.
From WSF-AL: “Captain Greg from Four Seasons Guide Service took me, my wife, and 2 adult kids to the Pamlico Sound and we slayed everything that swam. Speckled trout, bluefish, croakers, sheepshead, hog fish, drum, black drum, and I hauled in a pinfish that finned me.”
Also off shore the mahi, kings, spanish, wahoo, and albacore are being caught in huge numbers. On the fresh water the heat has slowed things down a little except early morning and late at night. The bass are excellent on Whopper Ploppers, and Bubble gum trickworms. Blue gill are hitting worms, crickets and beetle spins.
