A 23-year-old named Chris Nikic recently became the first person with Down syndrome to complete an Ironman race.  That’s a 2.4-mile swim, 112-mile bike ride, and then a full 26.2-mile marathon.  He finished in 16 hours and 31 minutes, with almost a full half-hour to spare before the 17-hour cutoff……………. Isaac Winfield, an 11-year-old kid in the U.K. , started his own food bank using his birthday money two years ago. He operates out of a shed in his backyard, and collects things like canned goods to hand out, and his parents drive him around in a donated van on the weekend to hand out bags of food. It’s going so well, he’s getting some sponsors and is hoping to open a second food bank location next month.
