Ohio State Highway Patrol trooper Katie Thomas came to the rescue of a cat that was stranded on a busy highway. The cat was taken to the Humane Society, where it was named Trooper.  And Trooper has already been adopted………………..A rescue dog from Rhode Island named Joey will appear on Animal Planet’s “Puppy Bowl” next month.  Joey only has two legs . . . he doesn’t have his front legs . . . but he’s otherwise perfectly healthy. Joey’s rescue and adoption story will also be featured during the event………………And finally…………..

Railroad workers in Georgia saved a raccoon that somehow got its CROTCH frozen to a train track. It happened last month in 10-degree weather. Their best guess is he was trying to climb over the track, and lingered too long. Worker Neil Mullis said ‘I poured the warm water under his bottom while a co-worker worked the shovel under his butt to try and break him loose.” They were able to free him, and he ran off into the woods. So the little guy is okay, but he did lose some hair. (Careful!  The uncensored video has profanity.)
