Original Lynyrd Skynyrd guitarist Gary Rossington passed away on March 5.  He was 71 years old. Rossington was the longest-serving member of the band, and the last original member in the line-up. The band said, quote, “Gary is now with his Skynyrd brothers and family in heaven and playing it pretty, like he always does.”

Metallica’s James Hetfield is going to star in a dark western with Peter Dinklage and Juliette Lewis. And Metallica dropped a new song called “If Darkness Had a Son”.  It’s off their upcoming album, “72 Seasons”, that comes out April 14th.
