When we think of Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Cherry Point, we picture men and women in uniform, serving our country, in some of the most dangerous climates and places across the globe. We think of fast jets, difficult training, long hours, and endless sacrifices. Let’s not forget that these same men and women are our neighbors and an integral part of our vibrant community. Allies for Cherry Point’s Tomorrow (ACT), has a mission to educate the community about the ways in which MCAS Cherry Point directly benefits our local economy, the surrounding region, and the globe. Fundraising is an integral part of this mission and spreading awareness.
ACT is excited to announce a fundraiser to help support and fund its mission. A street-ready F-35 themed Club Car Tempo golf cart will be raffled off in the coming months. The golf cart features a rear seat, new U.S.A. brand batteries, dual USB power ports, rear storage, a front-hinged windshield, seat belts, and a LED lighting kit. The golf cart was revealed on July 4th at Havelock’s Freedom Festival and tickets will be sold through November 11th. Both sponsorships and raffle tickets are available for purchase.
