You may have heard about this group before.  Early in the pandemic, a guy in New Jersey started a nonprofit called “I Want to Mow Your Lawn“, where you can volunteer to mow lawns for senior citizens and others who need help. Now it’s expanded to 46 states, and recently went international.  A handful of volunteers have popped up in Toronto, and a retired Marine in South Korea recently started doing it for widows of fallen soldiers.  You can sign up to volunteer at IWantToMowYourLawn.com…… More and more research is finding that pets are good for our mental health.  Even petting other people’s dogs can give your mental health a boost. Evidence is accumulating that levels of the stress hormone cortisol drop in people after just 5 to 20 minutes spent interacting with dogs — even if it’s not their pet…….And finally……………

10-year-old Mark Lane has a rare seizure disorder where he can have up to 300 seizures a day, and there are currently no FDA approved treatments for the condition. The Make-A-Wish Foundation recently sent Mark and his family on a trip to Georgia from Massachusetts to live out his dream of becoming a Savannah Banana. The exhibition team is the baseball version of the Harlem Globetrotters. Mark joined them for media day and got to take part in a Savanah Bananas game as a fellow team member.
