AC/DC announced the ‘POWER UP’ European Tour, posting online “Angus, Brian, Stevie, and Matt will be joined by Chris Chaney to carry the torch for Cliff. The tour will see us play shows across Germany, Italy, Spain, The Netherlands, Austria, Switzerland, England, Slovakia, Belgium, France & Ireland this Summer. Tickets on sale Feb 16.”

Robert Plant recently joined Deborah Bonham, sister of the late John Bonham, at a show in Blackpool, England. She recorded her first demo in the 80s and has been performing ever since.

Deep Purple is releasing a “super deluxe” reissue of their Machine Head album. The set includes previously unreleased live material and more. It will be out on March 29.

Mark Knopfler from Dire Straits got more than 60 artists to appear on a new charity tune that will benefit Britain’s Teenage Cancer Trust and Teen Cancer America. The lineup is INSANE, and includes David Gilmour, Slash, Eric Clapton, Pete Townshend, Ron Wood, Brian May, Joan Jett, Alex Lifeson, Peter Frampton, Tom Morello, Rick Nielsen, Joe Satriani, Joe Walsh and more. The late Jeff Beck plays on it, too.  And if that’s not enough, Sting plays bass, Ringo Starr and his son Zack Starkey are on drums, and Roger Daltrey plays the harmonica. The song is a remake of Knopfler’s 1983 instrumental Going Home.  It comes out March 15th.

A new Blue Oyster Cult album drops April 12.  It’s called “Ghost Stories”, and it consists of older material that was demoed, but never finished or released before.  (Full Story

The nominees for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame’s Class of 2024 have been announced, and Ozzy Osbourne has a chance to be a double-honoree.He’s nominated as a solo artist this year, but he’s already in there as a member of Black Sabbath. The other nominees are: Mary J. Blige, Mariah Carey, Cher, Dave Matthews Band, Eric B. and Rakim, Foreigner, Peter Frampton, Jane’s Addiction, Kool & the Gang, Lenny Kravitz , Oasis, Sinead O’Connor, Sade, A Tribe Called Quest
