Fall is finally here and as just about every fisherman knows, fall is the best time of the year to go fishing. Inland saltwater anglers – it’s time to think about jumbo spots by the dozens being caught on blood worms and shrimp. Also, the speckled trout are in the creeks along with the puppy drum. Off shore the king fishing is at it’s best, along with albacore, and mahi mahi.
In the gulf stream, catches of red snappers and silver snappers are really good, along with trigger fish and black sea bass. Plus the Hatteras Blues are here. Nothing more fun than a 20 pound blue to get your blood pumping.
Freshwater fishing – the bass are eating everything that swims because they’re fattening up for winter. Fall is also a great time for top water baits including buzz baits, Zara spooks, Whopper Ploppers, Choppos, and Hula Poppers.
Take a kid fishing, pick up your trash and throw it away – and not in the ocean please.
