Today’s Good News 10-10-24

“The Associated Press” did a big feature on a group of South Korean women who learned to read and write in their 80s, and formed a rap group.  They’re called Suni and the Seven Princesses.  They’ve become huge celebrities over there………….. A Pennsylvania man and his 17-year-old stepson ran into their neighbor’s burning house on Monday morning and got her out.  They also saved two dogs.  The woman and the stepson were treated at a hospital for burns. A reporter asked the dad why they risked their lives to do it.  He said his son is a very brave kid.  Adding, quote, “We care about our neighbors.  We care about this neighborhood.”…………And finally……………….

A small dog in England fell into a deep crack between two rocks, and volunteers worked for a WEEK to save her.  She’s a Jack Russell named Rose, and she slipped through a 12-inch gap, and was stuck 40 feet down. They had to use heavy machinery to chip away at the rock, but refused to quit, even when officials told them it was too dangerous – they wouldn’t give up until Rose was safe.
