Last week, staff at a CA aviation service company paused work, when they noticed the sound of MEOWING coming from an excavator parked roughly 20 feet from their offices. There were four two-week old kittens inside, and after a 30-minute rescue effort, they were all safely recovered and are in the process of finding homes……. A MI mailman is going viral, for returning $10 that he found in a homeowner’s driveway . . . rather than just pocketing it. He rang the doorbell, but no one answered, so he left it, along with a note, in their box. The homeowner caught the good deed on their doorbell camera, and posted it online. People recognized the mailman as Joshua O’Hara, and he says, quote, “Being kind to others doesn’t cost a thing. You never know who needs it . . . and one good deed can have a ripple effect.”…………….And finally……………
A baby walrus named Uki is a hit online after she was rescued in Alaska last summer. She was dehydrated, malnourished, and needed “cuddle care” from zookeepers to stay warm. She couldn’t be released back into the wild, so she’s living at SeaWorld Orlando and doing great. She’s over 350 pounds and still growing, and a female walrus named Kaboodle has been acting as her adoptive mother.
