Fletcher is our featured rock dog this week. Fletcher has been at the shelter for 55 days and is ready to go home. He is a medium size hound mix – fixed, chipped, and up to date on his vaccines. Unfortunately, Fletcher is heartworm positive but don’t let that scare you away. The shelter has a program with Paws 4 Purpose where they pay for the bulk of the treatment, and the adopter would be responsible for essential vet visit itself as well as the antibiotic and anything else that may be needed for him. Fletcher is a very relaxed, friendly boy who likes to run around, play with people, will do anything for a treat and loves to play with toys. He is roughly 3 years old but he thinks he is still a puppy. The normal adoption fee for heartworm positive dogs is $110 but right now from May 1st-15th the Empty The Shelter Event is going on, so adoption fees are $70 for dogs, $20 for cats and kittens.
