Regarding “Avalanche” Gary said, “This is my first album in 6 years. I had a hard time focusing due to so many setbacks. COVID, taking care of my ailing mother for 2 years, losing my recordings on a bad hard drive, having to start the album completely over, and losing both my mother and sister within 4 months – all took a toll on me. This was a therapeutic album for me. I titled it ‘Avalanche’ because sometimes it feels as if life is dealing you one blow after another. ‘Avalanche’ is a return to my rock roots. It feels great to turn up the volume and have some fun.”
