Today’s Good News 6-5-25

A kid found a message in a bottle that two other kids in Hawaii tossed in the ocean seven years ago.  11-year-old Josie Law of Michigan was vacationing with her family when she spotted it in the water near Bradenton, FL.  The note was from a 13-year-old and 8-year-old, dated August 17th, 2018.  And if it really did start in Hawaii, it went a VERY long way to get there. Ocean currents mean it would have had to float down around the tip of South America . . . up the coast of Africa . . . and back across the Atlantic Ocean to the Florida coast………………..Speaking of journeys by sea:  A dog in the U.K. went missing in April and was found 36 days later swimming to an island off the coast of southern England.  A ferry picked her up a mile from shore, and 100 miles from where her trip started……………And finally…………

62-year-old David Sullivan, the founder of a company called Code Blue CPR, climbed Mount Everest in April to install a defibrillator at Everest Base Camp.  He says it’s the world’s highest defibrillator at just over 16,500 feet, and three weeks after he got home, he found it had already been put to use.  A 30-year-old French woman had a heart attack, and it saved her life.  He said hearing about it was the “proudest moment” he’s ever had.
