An Oregon 12-year-old named Lily Prasek just became the state’s youngest therapy dog handler.  She’s been training her golden retriever Sunny for over a year, but couldn’t be a “junior therapy dog handler” until she turned 12.  She and Sunny recently passed all the tests to get certified, so now it’s official………….Another study found having a dog early in life can make kids healthier.  Specifically, kids prone to eczema are less likely to develop it if there’s a dog in the home when they’re a baby.  Experts think being exposed to all the microbes your dog brings in might help train their immune system.  Other studies have found having a pet early on might lower your kid’s risk for allergies and asthma…………………..And finally…………………..

TX high school senior Laura Wiley was admitted to the hospital the day before her graduation and had to live-stream the event from her hospital bed. Her mom, Brandie, told the staff about the situation, explaining that the assistant principal could come and present a diploma in person if that was allowed. The nurses and admin stepped up and spent the evening decorating a lounge, then lined the halls, applauding, as Laura was wheeled down to her assistant principal, who handed her an official diploma. “I was just completely surprised,” Laura said. “Especially when I saw my assistant principal there. I just started sobbing.” She’s been released from the hospital and is recovering at home.
