Brooke Johnson has spent about 100 days on her skateboard as she travels across America, from California to Virginia, raising awareness for spinal cord injuries in memory of her stepfather.  Coming into the weekend, she was in Kentucky and Tennessee.  Overall, she says the trip will be 3,226 miles.  If she succeeds, she’ll set a new world record………….. A Wisconsin mailman delivered the ashes of Stoli, a German Shepherd, to her grieving owner, after the dog passed away from cancer on July 4th.  An emotional moment between the mailman and the dog’s owner was caught on the doorbell camera.  The woman says the dog and the mailman had a special relationship.  Quote, “Stoli barked at him every day, unless she was on the porch.  Then, she demanded pets and belly rubs.”……………..And finally………………… 

Korea House, a family-owned restaurant run by a woman known as “Momma Kim”, has been serving Austin, TX since 1988. and on the first Wednesday of every month, everyone eats for free. A post on social media says “Everyone. Every race, gender, religion, age, etc. All are welcome to dine in and share a free meal with us, no strings attached.” The restaurant says their hope is to provide a safe and peaceful space and for everyone to leave with a full heart, warmed soul, and a full belly.” A Texas State Representative recently honored Korea House for its heartfelt mission, praising the owner as “a champion of her community”
