Author James Patterson wants you to finish that novel you’ve been working on, but, you’ll have to wait another year if you want to apply for this. He recently launched something called the “Go Finish Your Book” campaign, and just announced the 12 winners. Each budding author will get up to $50,000 to help them finish their manuscript…….. 13-year-old KS kid Noah Bradley spent his summer mowing lawns and doing other chores to save money for a dirt bike he’d seen for sale online. After he’d purchased it, he had a visit from the police, because the bike was actually stolen during a 2023 storage-unit burglary in Wichita. Glenn Timoteo, the dirt bike’s true owner, said “Noah had done nothing wrong, yet he lost both the bike and the money he worked so hard to earn.” So, Glen started a fundraiser, quote, “to help Noah get the dirt bike he truly earned, and to show him that there’s still good in the world.”…………And finally……………..
Micah, a four-year-old kid near Detroit, recently called 911 to tell them how much he loves soccer and swimming. Cops did a welfare check, let Micah and his brother Mitch check out their patrol vehicles, and also found out that Mitch’s 7th birthday was the next day, so they came back with gifts. They bought them a soccer net for their backyard and played a game with them.
