Doctors used to tell parents to NOT let kids have peanuts until age three, because they thought it might CAUSE allergies.  But the advice flipped in 2015, and it’s made a huge difference.  Peanut allergies are down 27% since then, and 40% since the recommendations expanded in 2017…………… An 80-year-old NJ grandma recently became the oldest person to finish the Ironman World Championship in Hawaii.  It’s a 2.4-mile swim, a 112-mile bike ride, and then a full marathon.  80-year-old Natalie Grabow finished in 16 hours and 45 minutes.  The cutoff is 17 hours.  Craziest detail:  She didn’t learn how to swim until she was 59. (Here she is at the finish line.  She tripped on her way up the ramp, but got back up and laughed it off.)…………And finally………….

A girls’ volleyball team in Dallas bought their beloved high school janitor, Abel Rodriguez, a new car.  They found out that Abel was getting rides to and from school every day, and often had to wait until very late to get home, so they launched a GoFundMe and surprised him with a new Ford SUV.  A local State Farm Agency added insurance coverage and gas money.  Last week, Abel was “called outside for an emergency” and when he arrived, more than 100 people were cheering for him and chanting his name, unveiling his new car.
