A Utah animal sanctuary saved a great horned owl that fell into a cement mixer.  A quarter of his body was covered in dry concrete, but he’ll be okay.  They’re hoping to release him back into the wild next summer……………..A group of amateur whale watchers off the coast of Washington caught video when a seal jumped onto their boat to escape a pod of killer whales.  The seal clung to the back of the boat before sliding in, and the whales lost interest and swam away. The seal took a short nap, then checked the water for predators, and dove back in.  (Video)………….And finally…………… 

University of Texas college students may have helped solve a murder case that went cold for over 30 years.  A 25-year-old woman was killed in 1991, and no one ever got arrested for it.  Criminology students poured through old evidence, and realized a lady she was friends with had a motive and no alibi.  Cops announced this week that they arrested the woman for murder.  A few students got emotional and even CRIED when they heard.  The school’s criminology department just launched a partnership with Arlington police this fall to help them investigate cold cases.
