The British magazine “Woman’s Weekly” helped break a world record by asking readers to donate handmade pet toys.  Guinness recently certified the record.  They knitted 46,506 mice toys for cat shelters across the U.K………………. A group of 24 people in England set a new world record for longest game of dodgeball . . . 48 straight hours. They did it to raise money and awareness for a breast cancer charity called CoppaFeel.  They ended up raising around $8,000……….And finally…………… 

Nine-year-old Iowa boy, Colton Holmes, took time to shovel snow from around a fire hydrant near his house last week, and it paid off the very next day when there was a HOUSE FIRE on the same block.  The fire department said not having to clear the snow may have saved lives. They’re rewarding Colton by giving him a ride to school in a firetruck this Friday.
