He was up there blowing leaves and other debris off, but he was struggling to stand, so he decided to get down and CRAWL . . . but he kept sliding closer to the edge. He was hanging on for dear life up there, but luckily a neighbor saw his legs hanging over the side of the roof and called 911. The authorities arrived and pulled James to safety. He apologized and thanked everyone. If you haven’t seen this story, it’s pretty amazing: ND farmer Randy Fyllesvold died tragically in a car crash in September, so his entire community came together last month to harvest his crop for him. 75 volunteers from other farms used 12 combines and multiple trucks to clear 1,400 acres. One of the guys who organized it said they just couldn’t leave his family to deal with it. His widow, Khara said “Seeing all of you out in those fields, pouring your heart into that harvest, is something I will never forget. It was a day filled with both joy and sorrow—joy in witnessing such incredible love, and sorrow in knowing it marked the final harvest of his life’s work.
