Earlier this month, cops and firefighters in Tempe, Arizona teamed up and saved a dog that fell into a canal. They used a slip lead to get the dog out of the water, then shared a video of the rescue on Facebook……………………A new study, published in the journal American Psychologist, shows that swearing can boost people’s physical performance by helping them overcome their inhibitions and pushing themselves harder in strength and endurance tests. Study author Dr. Richard Stephens, says “Swearing is an easily available way to help yourself feel focused, confident and less distracted, and ‘go for it’ a little more.”……………. And finally………
A devastating accident in April changed Amari Boyd’s life forever, when he was paralyzed from the waist down and lost a leg. Amari loves basketball, and Atlanta Hawks star Trae Young stopped by with a signed jersey for the young superfan. Then, Young went one step further, partnering with the charity Sunshine on a Ranney Day, to fund a home renovation so that Amari would be able to get around more easily in his wheelchair. Young showed up for the big reveal, which included a bedroom filled with basketball swag, including a custom-made shoebox bed.
