A polar bear in northern Canada adopted another bear’s cub, which is apparently very rare. Researchers spotted her with one cub this spring, and now she’s got a second one. Without a mom, they have almost no chance of surviving…… A college grad in D.C. got a job as a signal engineer with D.C. Metro, and reunited with the bus driver who inspired his whole career choice. He rode a city bus to school when he was 10 and constantly asked questions, so she offered him a tour of the bus garage. When he landed the job, he wondered if she still worked there, and she does. She’s a station manager now………………And finally…………….
104-year-old World War II veteran Dominick Critelli got a standing ovation to chants of “U.S.A.” after playing the National Anthem on his saxophone during the Rangers-Islanders hockey game on December 27th. Critelli spent 151 days in combat during WWII, earning three Bronze Stars, and he was recently knighted by French President Emmanuel Macron for helping to liberate France. About his performance, Critelli said “I mean, is there any better song to play than ‘The Star-Spangled Banner’? Beautiful, you put your heart in it.”
