A Florida man stopped traffic on Sunday, and saved two kids who wandered out onto a highway near Cocoa Beach. John Brittingham was in his car when he saw the two toddlers in the middle of the road. He got them back home after he noticed an open gate nearby. Their family had no idea they’d wandered off…………. A guy near Baltimore is being hailed a hero after he recently saved his neighbor’s kids from a fire. She was trapped upstairs with her two sons, and the only way out was a bedroom window. Steven Angelini saw the fire from across the street. He told her to drop her kids . . . promised he’d catch them . . . and did. Thankfully, they’re all okay. Someone eventually showed up with a ladder, so they got the mom out too……….And finally………..
For the past eight years, students at a VA high school have learned to repair and refurbish cars in their automotive class, not just to learn a trade, but to help others. The students work on about five cars a year, which are donated by individuals and businesses, then they’re given to single mothers in need through a partnership with a nonprofit called Giving Words. Automotive teacher Shane Robertson, who leads the program, says “It’s a great learning experience. It’s gratifying.”
