Joe Sass, a crossing guard in Chicago, went viral this weekend after he was seen CARRYING kids across an icy street. A water main broke near an elementary school, and it mixed with the snow. A news helicopter was covering it when they spotted him tossing kids on his shoulder, so their shoes didn’t get wet. WGN brought him into the studio for an interview. He said he’s been a crossing guard for about five years, and he’s known some of the kids since they were really young. (Here’s the video.)…………… A woman from Nebraska got her 1966 class ring back after a guy with a metal detector found it on a beach in New Jersey. It was missing for years, and no one’s sure how it got there. Her family lived in Boston for a bit, but never New Jersey………………..And finally……………
A family in Florida got their dog back more than a decade after she went missing. Her name is Buttercup. She was five when she vanished, and now she’s 15. A shelter in Miami scanned her microchip after someone brought her in this month. She was reunited with her owners last week. (Chip your pet and make sure your contact info is up to date.)
