A one-armed golfer in the U.K. got a hole-in-one. 67-year-old Patrick Duke lost his left arm in a work accident in 2012 and says taking up golf in 2018 saved his life. He was playing with friends recently on a course in England. He hit a 7-iron on a par 3, and dunked it from 120 yards out………… A study found that eating nothing but oatmeal for two days can lower your cholesterol by 10%. And even after you stop, there’s a lasting effect for six weeks. People in the study ate oatmeal three times a day with maybe a little fruit mixed in. Nothing else…….And finally……………..
People online are donating money to help a 92-year-old FL lady retire. Muriel Connick works at a Burlington store in Pompano Beach, and customer April Steele chatted with her. April wondered why a 92-year-old woman was working and said it just seemed unbelievable that social security wasn’t enough to cover even her basic expenses. April shared Muriel’s story on a local Pompano Beach Facebook group, created a fund and it took off – last we checked, more than $125K had been donated.
