A reporter in Tennessee did a story on a woman named Jennifer Skiles, who was adopted as a kid . . . AND as an adult. She recently tracked down her dad Paul, who never knew she existed. Both of her adoptive parents are no longer with us, so Paul officially adopted her 40 years later………………Some NYPD cops saved a bald eagle that got stranded on a piece of ice in the Hudson River Tuesday morning. It was injured and would have died, but it’s now recovering at a New Jersey animal rehab…………………..
The Cleveland Clinic shared a story about some construction workers, whose small act of kindness is making a big difference for a sick little girl. Brinley Wyczalek is four years old and waiting for a new heart. There’s a building across the street from her window that’s under construction, so she shined a flashlight at the workers last month, and they shined one back. Then they made a sign that said, “Get Well Soon.” They’ve been trading signs since then, and made another one that said, “keep fighting.” Some of the workers recently stopped by with a giant teddy bear, and a construction hat they all signed for her. They’re not working on that part of the building anymore, but they always end their day by stopping by the same window, just to say hi. (Here’s a video the Cleveland Clinic shared.)
