PA man Joe Richardson is in the news for running a mobile laundromat for the homeless. He’s an ex-con who spent 14 years in jail and came up with the idea when he was still locked up in 2010. After his release, he started working for his family’s laundromat, then, in 2023, his 28-year-old brother was shot and killed while working as a tow truck driver. That tragic loss made Richardson want to do something more fulfilling. His business is called Spin & Go. He spends several hours a week driving his trailer around to areas where the unhoused gather, and he does their laundry for free.
