Researchers are optimistic this could lead to a future treatment, but there are challenges, like finding a way to get intact molecules to the right cells. Simply eating licorice doesn’t do the trick…………..An 80-year-old widow named Lois decided to drive 2,000 miles from California to Tennessee with her two cats, but when she ran out of money, she met a Walmart employee named Paris, who stepped in and became her guardian angel. Paris helped Lois secure temporary housing, launched a fundraiser and even got her in touch with her son. Paris said “I truly believe we are called to serve others, and in this moment, this is what that looks like.” The fundraiser is called “Help Lois Find Safety and Stability in Tennessee” and has raised over $22,000 so far……………………………And finally……………….
A group of Atlanta fathers known as the “Library Dads” is helping kids fall in love with reading by turning regular library visits into community bonding events. It all began with one dad reading to his infant daughter . . . and now it has grown into group gatherings where dads and kids read together and build friendships. The goal is “to strengthen families while helping solve childhood literacy and isolation.”
