Meet Gopher! He’s going to tell you all about himself.
I’m about a year old, which I think is the perfect age because I can run really fast, play really hard, and still be told I’m a “good boy” every five seconds.
I have a job here now. It’s very important. I’m the cat tester. I know, big responsibility. Basically, I meet cats and the humans watch me very closely, and then they say things like “this is helpful” and “good job,” and then I get paid in treats. So honestly… I love my job.
I also have a best friend here — his name is Theo. We run, we play, we do important best friend things together. He’s my favorite part of the day.
Before all this, things weren’t always great for me. I came in with my sister, and she already got to leave for rescue. I’m really happy for her.
But I’m still here. Which is okay, because I’ve got a lot going for me — I’m fun, I’m happy, I love people, and I’ve got this whole “professional good boy” thing down. I just… don’t have a home yet. And I think I’d be really good at that too. I could run in a yard. I could play with another dog. I could keep my job (I’m open to remote work). And I could love someone the way I’ve been saving up to.
