In Hanson, MA, more than 1500 community members, veterans and first responders showed up to honor Navy vet John Bernard Arnold III, who passed away at 98 with no living family. A call went out to the public to ensure that the WWII veteran didn’t go to his grave alone, and people were lined up to pay their respects. A massive police motorcade, fellow veterans, and motorcycle units escorted Arnold to the cemetery. The ceremony included bagpipes, a flag presentation, and a final salute, so Arnold got the sendoff he rightfully earned.
