A British Colmubia couple were reunited with their missing dog four days after a serious car crash, thanks to an outpouring of community support. Volunteers, search and rescue teams, and locals helped search everywhere . . . and they eventually found the dog when they came back around to the crash site. The dog was sitting on the passenger seat of the wrecked car, just waiting…………….The Ocean Cleanup organization is working to remove trash from the rivers in Los Angeles ahead of the 2028 Olympics. The technology is from the guy who’s trying to tackle the Great Pacific Garbage Patch. Their new device, called the “Interceptor,” collects waste flowing through waterways . . . and has already removed hundreds of tons of debris from a creek near Marina Del Rey. Officials are now exploring expanding the system to the San Gabriel River to handle even larger amounts of trash………………And finally………………
Milwaukee sanitation workers recently rescued a starving dog that was buried inside a garbage bin. Naz Nalls and his partner Omar were making their rounds when one of the garbage bins they were emptying slipped off the truck before its contents could be dumped and crushed. When the workers looked inside, they were stunned to find a dog. They called their supervisor, who had an immediate connection with the pooch. Following procedure, the dog went to a shelter for care, but later, Alex Halverson, the supervisor who helped rescue him, adopted him and named him PJ, after the PB&J sandwich he fed the dog when they first met.
