All is well after a stray kitten wandered onto a New York City subway . . . because she found a happy ending with the stranger who saved her. A commuter safely picked up the kitten during the chaotic moment . . . and later decided to adopt it, naming her Emmie, after the MTA. The cat’s journey has since gone viral……………….A NH therapy dog got a special honor by getting to graduate with an eighth-grade class after years of supporting its students. Her name is Lola and she has spent almost 15 years visiting the school, comforting kids, and assisting the occupational therapist. With the recent hot temps, everyone is looking for a way to stay cool, including the assisted living residents at Adams Place in Murfreesboro, TN. The annual Ride ‘n Slide event just went down, where a massive tarp was stretched across the lawn and it was kept soaked by the local fire department so folks could tube down. Firefighters, caregivers and members of the Middle Tennessee State University football team helped residents stay safe and cheered them on. One of the MTSU football players said helping the residents was rewarding in its own right. “Being able to help them up, it’s a blessing just to make people’s day, make them happy.”
