A Michigan woman saved a 2-year-old girl’s life after the child was pulled unconscious from a nearby lake. She said once she saw the panicked mother carrying her daughter from the water, she immediately stepped in and used her CPR training to get the toddler breathing again………. Researchers in the Netherlands have developed a smartphone app that can predict asthma. It detects subtle changes in a person’s voice . . . and then can predict asthma or COPD flare-ups before symptoms become severe. A security dog at Disneyland named Benny has officially retired after six years helping to keep the park safe. Benny and his handler, Kevin, have been working together in various positions around the resort, including the security areas at the entrance. The staff threw Benny a special retirement party where he ate his first-ever hot dog (security dogs are on a strict diet) and did one final demonstration of his security skills before being showered with cheers and tennis balls. Benny plans to spend his retirement chilling with Kevin at home and enjoying hikes.
