A woman named Abigail Seymour proved that it’s never too late to reinvent yourself. She enrolled in law school at 47 years old . . . eventually passed the bar exam . . . and went on to launch her own law firm in Greensboro. It’s called Camino Law, and it’s a bilingual family law firm that now employs seven women. Abigail says she’s proud to serve her community and support other women………… Researchers found bacteria in the gut of a Japanese tree frog that showed powerful anti-cancer effects. In tests, a single dose of the bacteria eliminated colorectal cancer tumors in mice . . . and also appeared to activate the immune system. Scientists say it’s still early and needs more testing, but the results are promising. They think that animal microbiomes might be the key to future cancer treatments………….And finally……………..
Six volunteer firefighters in PA helped carry Sable, a 100-pound senior dog, out of the forest after it got too exhausted to continue its hike. Sable’s owner hiked two miles to find help, and the rescue team spent four and a half hours carrying her nearly two miles down a steep mountain trail in a rescue basket, stopping along the way to keep her hydrated. The firefighters said they don’t just care about humans, they care about our furry friends, and they were happy to help this “sweet girl”. Sable is expected to make a full recovery.
