A Massachusetts rescue has dedicated itself entirely to guinea pigs, and is caring for nearly 400 of them at its sanctuary about 40 miles north of Boston. The owner says the nonprofit regularly takes in abandoned pets from across the country. Volunteers help feed, clean, and care for the guinea pigs, which often need to be adopted in pairs because they’re such social animals………. Eight teens from Idaho turned their online popularity into a cleanup campaign for the Boise River. The group, known as the 208 Boys, launched the account hoping to reach 10,000 followers, but it has since grown to nearly 200,000. A golden retriever named Lexa was rescued after surviving three days buried beneath a landslide in the Philippines. The dog went missing after heavy rain caused the soil behind her family’s home to collapse. But three days later, they heard faint barking, so volunteers used jackhammers to dig their way to her. They eventually created a small opening, and Lexa crawled out to safety.
