TX police say a 37-year-old man found a bag stuffed with $128,514 in cash sitting on top of a Bank of America ATM back in August, along with a smaller bag containing 19 checks. There was info on one of the bags indicating that it could belong to a Chick-fil-A. The guy took it to the nearby location, but a manager said it wasn’t theirs . . . so he called the police. Investigators later determined that a Brinks technician had serviced the ATM . . . and was supposed to take the money, but accidentally left it by the machine. Police said that every single dollar was accounted for. The man has asked to remain anonymous. The police chief said, “He just thought it’s the right thing to do, and [he] doesn’t think it goes beyond that.” (Here’s a local news report.)…………….Mexico’s National Guard has debuted its tiny new recruit, Comando the Chihuahua. The pup was adopted six months ago, and was seen attending a training session in Mexico City last week wearing a fitted tactical vest, goggles, and a tiny head-mounted camera.”…….And finally……………
Colorado opened up a massive wildlife overpass over Interstate 25 this past December and it’s already making a huge impact. It’s the largest wildlife overpass in North America, and cameras have captured elk, pronghorn, bears, deer, and coyotes using it. Before the crossing was built, roughly one deer was struck by a vehicle each day during peak migration seasons. Since it’s opened, the overpass has cut down animal-vehicle collisions by 91%.
