Say hello to Flynn Orbit. (Yes, his name really is Flynn Orbit.) Two different volunteers came up with two very good names for him, and instead of choosing between them, the shelter did the obvious thing and kept both – honestly, it fits him.
Flynn Orbit is a Siberian Husky and German Shepherd mix, around 2 years old. He weighs about 66 pounds, and has been with the shelter for almost six weeks. He is one of those dogs who somehow manages to be playful, goofy, affectionate, and an absolute cuddle bug all at once. On his recent Doggy Day Out, Flynn made it very clear that he likes being close to his people. He sought out attention, leaned himself right into people’s legs for pets, happily accepted triple pets from the pet store crew, and even curled up in someone’s lap on the floor. He is also a great car rider, takes treats gently, and seems eager to please and learn. He can be strong on leash when he first gets out, but once he burns off some energy, he settles in nicely. Flynn has also seemed very interested in kids and playful around other dogs, and one volunteer summed him up perfectly in three words: loving, playful, and sweet. Flynn has been waiting long enough for someone to notice that the handsome dog with the mismatched eyes is also a really good dog underneath all that good-looking nonsense. Someone is going to hit the jackpot with this one.
