A CA pizza restaurant is creating jobs for people with special needs, inspired by the owners’ 19-year-old daughter Grace, who has Down syndrome and had difficulty finding employment. Pizzabilities opened last summer and is thriving, and Grace is not just an employee — she’s a co-owner. Grace’s mom, Amy Baker, says the response from job seekers with special needs has been overwhelming, and they hope to grow Pizzabilities to many more locations. The restaurant’s motto, printed on the back of every employee’s shirt is “Where pizzas and abilities rise together.”
