A woman near Houston was driving with her baby on New Year’s Day when their minivan went over an embankment and into a bayou. But they’re both okay after a homeless man got to them in a small boat. Last we checked, cops hadn’t revealed his identity…………. Shadow the cat recently had an adventure in the wild before returning to his home after five months. OK native Jeremy Barton says the cat went missing while he was in British Columbia, slipping out of the car and into the woods. Unable to locate the cat, Barton had to return home to family with the bad news that Shadow was missing, at least until Christine Sutherland, a BC resident, stepped in. She and a friend searched and managed to find Shadow after five months, then offered to meet up with Barton, who drove 16 hours from Oklahoma to reunite with Shadow……………And finally………………..
An animal rescuer in Maryland named Amy Creel is in the news after a few more Amazon boxes than expected showed up on her doorstep last month. She went on social media and asked people to donate food and other pet supplies for Christmas, and the Internet came through in a big way . . . THOUSANDS of boxes. She joked that her poor Amazon driver probably hates her now.
