Wildlife rescuers at ZooTampa released 26 manatees back into the wild in 2025. They’re big and hard to rehab, and it’s their highest total ever. After 974 days in foster care, a TN boy got adopted just in time for Christmas. Khaza will be three this spring, and Anna and Brenden Koon stepped in as foster parents when he was 18 days old. The plan was to reunite him with his biological mom someday, but then that couldn’t happen. They say they’ve thought of him as their own kid for a while now, so it was just a formality. A bunch of friends and family showed up to court for it, so it was like a big party.
