A wildlife group in Wisconsin rescued a deer that got stuck in someone’s basement for two full days. The people weren’t home, but a neighbor checked in on their place and found it. It was tired and scared, but otherwise okay. They released it back into the wild……. Kerwin Pittman, the founder and executive director of Recidivism Reduction Education Program Services, Inc is the new owner of what was once Wayne Correctional, a prison where he was once incarcerated. The non-profit is planning a reentry and workforce development campus for those who have served time. The campus will offer workforce development and placement, peer support, mental health support, educational opportunities and transitional housing. Pittman is now the first formerly incarcerated person in U.S. history to buy a prison.
